What happens next?
Every family’s journey looks a little different, but here’s what you can expect:
Start with a Conversation
Book a free 10-15 minute call.
We’ll talk about your child, your concerns, and what you’ve been noticing. You’ll get a clearer sense of whether moving forward feels right.
Assessment & Understanding
If you decide to move forward, we’ll complete an assessment that includes:
⬤ your child’s history and your goals
⬤ observation through play and interaction
⬤ structured tools and standardized assessments where appropriate
We begin shaping goals right there—based on what matters most to your family.
Therapy That Fits Your Child
Sessions are engaging, flexible, and tailored to your child.
⬤ 60-minute sessions (45 minutes direct time)
⬤ play-based and interest-driven
⬤ parent involvement encouraged
You’ll also leave with simple, practical ideas to use at home.
Progress, at the Right Pace
As your child grows, we adjust together.
Some children need short-term support; others benefit from longer care. Over time, sessions may become less frequent, with check-ins as needed.
The goal is always confidence, independence, and real-world communication.
FEES & INSURANCE
What does it cost?
No surprises — here’s everything you need to know.
SESSION FEES
Contact us for our latest session rates.
Sessions are 60 minutes. Assessment fees and written reports vary depending on scope, but are charged at the same hourly rate.
The initial phone consultation is always free.
PAYMENT
Payment is due at the end of each session. Payments are accepted by cash and by Interac e-transfer.
Detailed receipts are provided for you to submit to your insurance company.
INSURANCE
SLP services are not covered by OHIP. Many private and employer-sponsored extended health plans include coverage for speech-language pathology — amounts vary significantly between plans.
Some insurers require a physician’s referral to process a claim. Talk Together does not require a referral to book.
CANCELLATIONS
We ask for 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged at 50% of the session fee.
We understand that life with kids is unpredictable — please reach out as soon as possible if something comes up.
